Influencer Marketing: General Settings Overview

Table of Contents

Within the Organization Settings, you can adjust general settings to meet your organization’s needs.

Security settings

Password settings

For increased security, an admin can prompt every user in their organization to change their password every 90 days by toggling ON Force Password Change every 90 Days.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

As an admin, you can enable Single Sign-On (SSO) to give users an efficient, more secure way to sign in and out of their accounts with just one click.

Influencer Marketing supports SSO using OpenID Connect as our service provider (SP) and integrating with Okta as our identity provider (IdP), offering compatibility with and without API management. For instructions on how to set up SSO, read this article.

Email configuration

Organization Admins can select the email domain used for email communications from Influencer Marketing. By default, emails will come from an Influencer Marketing domain (exampleorg.influencer.sproutsocial-mail.com) unless a custom domain is configured.

To configure these email settings, go to the Organization Settings and click Email Configuration.

Here, admins can edit:

  • Outgoing Email Address
  • Domains
  • Email Addresses
  • Shared Sender Addresses

Outgoing email address

Organization Admins can choose the domain for their email communications, selecting either the default Influencer Marketing Media domain or the organization's standard email domain.

For instance, if the standard email domain for "Example Organization" is "@exampleorg.com," admins can enable users to send emails from the Influencer Marketing platform using that domain. Select Use your verified domain/addresses and follow the setup steps to change the outgoing email address domain to "@exampleorg.com".

Verify domains

  1. Click the drop-down menu next to the domain to verify (@ exampleorg.com).
  2. Influencer Marketing auto-generates the required DNS records.
    • Both TXT and CNAME records must be added to the domain's configuration.
    • DNS configuration requires support from your IT team and can vary depending on the DNS provider.
  3. Once complete, Influencer Marketing's System references the new records associated with the verified account and all outbound messages will be sent from that custom domain.

Create Shared Sender Addresses

Custom email sender addresses enables users to create and choose which address to use for creator outreach: their personal work email or other branded aliases. Similar to a traditional email address, when creating custom addresses, multiple IM users can tap into the same email for creator outreach so your communications appear branded and unified. Create general, branded aliases or unique aliases specific to a campaign or moment in time.

How to create a Shared Sender Address:

  • Shared e-mail Senders can be defined in Organization Settings → Email Addresses. Once created, they are available to all organization members.
  • Select “Add sender” in the Senders tab, choose the local part (e.g., “outreach”) and a verified domain.
  • There are no restrictions to the email address, as long as the domain is verified! The email doesn’t have to exist in your organization.
  • Only Organization Admins manage the Sender configurations. Other users can easily request the address to be added, directly from the message box.
  • Admins can edit or delete Sender configurations at any time.

Customize email footer

You can customize email signatures for the entire organization, such as adding a logo or address, by clicking Customize Email Footer in your Organization Settings.

Logo

Add a logo for ‘Light Mode’ and ‘Dark Mode’ to control how the image is displayed regardless of the brightness on a recipient’s device. We recommend all uploaded logos have a maximum height of 64px.

Organization address

You can also add your company’s address and additional details, like a web link, to your email footer.

Once you’ve added your details and click Save, scroll down to preview the footer.

If you’d like to create a Personal Email Signature, please follow the instructions in this article.

Message templates

You can use one of Influencer Marketing’s nine templates for creator outreach or build your own. Using Influencer Marketing templates is optional and we suggest working with your designated Customer Success Manager to determine the best approach for communicating with creators.

Changes made to templates in Message Templates will apply to all campaigns created by any users within the organization

Influencer Marketing’s Message Templates use slugs to automatically populate details like creator or campaign names, making it easy to send bulk messages.

Users are able to view or edit a template by clicking the pencil icon next to the right of the template.

Outreach

  • This serves as an introductory email and is often used for cold outreach to creators to gauge their interest in a collaboration.

Proposal

  • Intended to follow up the outreach message, the proposal template includes a link to campaign requirements and details.

  • Invite creators to set up an Influencer Marketing account and opt into (or authenticate) Sprout Sprout Influencer Marketing's Creator Portal.

  • This template includes a request to connect a creator’s account to Influencer Marketing and explains why this step is necessary.

No Instagram Business Account

  • This email explains why an account must be identified as an Instagram Business Account to successfully connect to Influencer Marketing.

YouTube Connection Request
