Getting Started with Campaigns

Table of Contents

Campaigns are designed to help you streamline collaboration with influencers. From managing approvals and messaging, to tracking content performance and payments. This guide provides a step-by-step overview to help you get the most out of your campaigns and tailor the workflow to your specific goals.

Step 1: Organize with Folders

Create folders to categorize your campaigns in a way that makes sense for your workflow. Choose the structure that best supports your organization. Some ideas include:

  • By team member - keep each person's campaigns separate.
  • By product or service - group campaigns by offering.
  • By brand - perfect for agencies managing multiple clients.
  • By date range - like Q1, Q2, seasonal, etc.

Step 2: Create a Campaign

Each campaign should include all the influencers contributing towards a shared goal. Define these goals in advance to accurately measure campaign success.

Basic Campaign Settings include:

  • Campaign Name - give your campaign a clear and identifiable name.
  • Date Range - defines when influencer content should be published. Posts outside this range will not be included in reporting.
  • Currency - enables budget tracking and influencer payment management.
  • Brand Profile - select your brand or client profiles (applies to Agencies only).

Step 3: Add Influencers

Navigate to the Creator tab to add influencers. You can add them one-by-one or import an entire creator list previously created when sourcing talent.

Step 4: Configure Campaign Settings

In General settings, update your campaign name, brief and budget.

In Monitor, Influencer Marketing will track all content from the influencers you Hire that @mention your brand in their caption.

Adjust the date range and add keywords to track influencer content where they forget to @mention your brand.

As a best practice, we recommend adding your brand name and branded hashtags to capture all relevant posts.

Creator Flow

The Creator Flow acts as a checklist to help manage internal tasks and influencer relationships. You can toggle steps on or off based on your needs. As a best practice, we suggest:

  1. Notifications - opt-in or out of creator-specific notifications.
  2. Review - internally approve, tentatively approve, or reject creators.
  3. Planned Content - assign content deliverables and track completion. You can also request content drafts here.
  4. Cost & Fees - input the compensation for each influencer.
  5. Proposal - use this template to outline campaign requirements. This is a non-binding, editable document that streamlines communication. Creators can accept or decline the proposal within the platform.
  6. Contract - use the Dropbox integration to send and manage legal agreements (Dropbox account required).
  7. Published Content - view and track influencer posts once they go live.
  8. Payments - mark payments as completed manually or pay via PayPal integration.

Additional Tabs

  • Proposal - customize the campaign proposal to clearly communicate your specific expectations for the collaboration with influencers. Use the eye icon to toggle options on or off, then click to edit and add your desired text.
  • Content Planning - assign content in bulk (e.g. all influencers must post a TikTok video).
  • Link Tracking - add a trackable link (with or without UTM parameters) to monitor traffic. Assign the same link to all creators, or set individual links manually. Note that Influencer Marketing can only track the number of clicks.
  • Messages - create and save message templates for outreach and communication.
  • User Access - invite additional team members to the campaign.
  • Collaborators - add external collaborators by email to help review creators, approve content or view reports.

Be sure to save your settings once configured!

Step 5: Begin collaborating with creators

Click on a creator’s name to open their individual view. From here, you can message them, track
their status in the flow, and manage their deliverables.

Tip: Ensure you have the influencer's email. If missing, contact them via DM and then update

Checklist for Managing Each Creator:

  • Internal Review - approve, tentatively approve, or reject the influencer.
  • Assign Content - specify what the influencer needs to produce.
  • Set Budget - input the payment amount.
  • Outreach - send your initial message.
  • Connections - confirm the creator has connected their account to the platform. A green Instagram icon indicates successful connection (this is needed to track Stories and gather detailed analytics).
  • Proposal - once the creator expresses interest, send your official proposal.
  • Contract - after proposal approval, send the contract (via Dropbox integration or email PDF).
  • Hire - click Hire to officially engage the creator. This step pulls in their content for reporting. Clicking Hire will not alert the creator.
  • Optional: Content Approval - if the influencer is in Creator Hub, you can request content for approval before they post.
  • Track Published Content - monitor live posts and mark deliverables as completed.
  • Process Payment - pay through PayPal or mark as paid manually.

Step 6: Monitor performance with Summary Reports

The Summary tab offers real-time performance data. You’ll see:

  • Overall campaign metrics
  • Breakdown by platform (e.g., Instagram, TikTok)
  • Content types (e.g., video, story, post)
  • Individual influencer performance

Use the Edit Summary option to customize the view, add/remove metrics, change their order and tailor the report to your goals.
