Influencer Marketing: What are the benefits of using TikTok Branded Content?
Table of Contents
Influencer Marketing is a badged TikTok Marketing Partner and offers exclusive access to TikTok’s Creator Marketplace API. This ensures all your Campaign’s TikTok content is marked as branded content, helping you maintain and build trust with your audience.
What is TikTok branded content?
Branded content on TikTok is defined as creator content promoting goods or services in exchange for something of value from a third-party like a brand. These posts could be brand endorsements, partnerships and other types of promotions that are meant to feel like a genuine recommendation from a creator.
You’ll notice branded TikTok content has a “Paid Partnership” badge like this one:
Why should you use TikTok branded content?
Higher Engagement & View-through Rate
Branded content is proven to be one of the best-performing forms of advertising on TikTok, with one study showing this content generates a 2X higher View-through Rate and 2X higher Engagement Rate than non-branded content.
Compliance with TikTok's policies
As a TikTok Marketing Partner, we’re committed to building a healthy influencer ecosystem on Tiktok. Users are encouraged to follow TikTok’s branded content policies and the easiest way to maintain compliance is to use Invite Links. Content that’s published as part of a brand campaign and does not have the “Paid Partnership” badge can be removed by TikTok’s moderation team.
We strongly advise against including any giveaways, log-in rewards or similar content in branded posts as it goes against TikTok’s fraud and scam policies. Publishing such content could result in a permanent ban for the creator’s account after multiple violations.
Access to exclusive metrics
When your creators use Invite Links to upload content to your Campaign, you’ll gain access to exclusive TikTok metrics like:
- Engagement Trends Chart: This chart explains how certain video metrics change over time
- Audience Age and Gender: See the high-level demographics of everyone who watched your content
- Audience Top Countries: This metric lists the top three countries where the video is most popular
- Audience Device Chart: Compare the ratio of iOS vs. Android users who watched this video
- Video Views by Source Chart: View the most popular sources of traffic for every video
You can see these metrics and more in the TikTok Metrics tab in Posts:
