Influencer Marketing Creator Hub: Connecting, Managing, and Deleting Your Social Media Profiles as a Creator

Table of Contents

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of how to link, manage, and delete your social media profiles within Influencer Marketing’s Creator Hub.

How to Connect Your Social Media Accounts

To successfully share performance metrics and collaborate with your partnering brand or agency, you must authenticate your social profiles in the Creator Hub.

General Connection Process

The standard procedure for connecting any social profile is as follows:

  1. Log in to your Creator Hub account.
  2. Navigate to the Settings icon, typically located in the lower-left corner of the interface.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Choose the social platform you wish to authenticate.
  5. Follow the prompts for authorization, which will redirect you to the chosen platform’s login screen.

Platform-Specific Requirements

  • Instagram: Click "Continue with Facebook." Be aware that your Instagram account must be a Creator or Business account and must be linked to a Facebook Page you have permission to manage.
  • YouTube: Click "Continue with Google." You must select the specific Google account that owns your YouTube channel and grant all requested permissions to ensure successful connection.
  • TikTok: Click "Continue with TikTok." Follow the authorization steps provided by the TikTok platform.

Note: You may need to re-authenticate your accounts if the connection to Instagram Insights expires, or if the connection is invalidated by the social network, which can happen after events like changing your Facebook password or enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Managing and Deleting Profiles within Creator Hub

The Creator Hub organizes your connected social accounts under a feature called a Profile, which represents a single identity across all platforms.

Managing Multiple Profiles

Influencer Marketing also allows you to manage multiple profiles from the same network. However, please note that this would create different Creator Hub instances.

To Add a New Profile of the same network:

  1. Click the “Switch Profiles” option in the Creator Hub interface.
  2. Select “+ Add Profile.”
  3. Choose the social network (Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok) you want to use to initiate the new Profile.
  4. Complete the authentication flow. The newly connected social account will automatically establish a separate, new Profile.

To Switch Profiles:

  1. Access the “Switch Profiles” view.
  2. Select the desired Creator Hub Profile. The Home, Campaigns, and Messages modules will then instantly switch to display data relevant to the selected Profile.

Deleting and Disconnecting Accounts

To Remove a Single Social Account from a Profile:

  1. Go to the Connections area (Settings icon > Connections).
  2. Locate the specific social account you want to remove.
  3. Select the Disconnect or Remove option next to the account name and confirm the action.

To Delete Your Entire Creator Hub Account:
When you remove your account, all your data is deleted, and you can't revert this action. Make sure you're certain you want to proceed with this action:

  1. Navigate to Settings in your Creator Hub account.
  2. Select the Security section (or the equivalent Account Management area).
  3. Find and choose the option to Remove Your Account and confirm the permanent deletion.

Change Profile Connections

If you've linked an incorrect account to your Creator Hub, Influencer Marketing provides a way to switch your connection to the right profile.

To Change a Profile Connection within Creator Hub:

  1. Go to the Connections area (Settings icon > Connections).
  2. Locate the specific social account you want to change.
  3. Select ‘Change Connections’ and follow onscreen instructions.

FAQs

What is a "Profile" in Creator Hub?

A Profile is a unified identity within the Creator Hub that groups together all your connected social media accounts from different platforms (like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) for simplified management and reporting.

Why did my connection expire or fail?

Connections may fail or expire due to technical reasons, such as an expired Instagram Insights data link, a password change on a linked social platform like Facebook, or a requirement for re-authentication (often necessary every 90 days for Meta connections).

Can I connect a personal Instagram account?

No. To successfully connect your Instagram account, it must be configured as a Creator or Business account and must be properly linked to a Facebook Page that you have administrative access to.

How do I delete my Creator Hub account?

You can permanently delete your account by navigating to Settings, selecting Security, and choosing the option to remove your account. This action is irreversible.

I have connected my profiles, but there's no data (such as followers or engagement rate) showing on my account. How can I fix it?

We suggest waiting up to 24 hours for our platform to retrieve the data after you connect your profiles for the first time on Influencer Marketing. If you don't see any data after that, feel free to contact our Customer Support team for help.
