Influencer Marketing: How do I review and approve Creators?
Table of Contents
Before sending proposals to creators, you can have them go through an Internal or Collaborator Review. This ensures selected creators meet your campaign’s requirements and are approved for participation. Both review steps are optional and your organization’s admins will decide if they’re needed. Once implemented, they become a mandatory step.
You can conduct two different types of reviews:
- Internal Review: Users within your organization can leave comments and make a decision (approve, disapprove or tentative) about prospective creators.
- Collaborator Review: When a campaign is shared with collaborators, they can review creators collectively and provide a single shared decision for each creator.
Internal Review
Anyone with access to the campaign can conduct an internal review:
- Open the creator’s profile clicking the creator’s name and clicking + next to Internal Review.
- Choose Disapprove, Approve, or Tentative from the upper-right corner.
If collaborators are involved, approving a creator automatically initiates the collaborator review process. To disable this, deselect Begin Collaborator Review Process After Approval before approving.
Collaborator Review
This feature becomes available once a collaborator is added to a campaign
Requesting a collaborator review
You can control which creators are shared for review with collaborators. Collaborators can access specific creators, only after a review request is sent.
To request a review, select the creator and click Review > Collaborator Review > Request.
Once ready, click Next to send your review request to your collaborators, along with any messaging you’d like to include.
Adding Comments to the Collaborator Review
You have the opportunity to provide additional context when requesting a review from collaborators using the comment icon in the Creator View. You’ll also be able to find the collaborators' feedback about the creator in this section:
Customizing creator previews
You can customize information included within the Creator Review before sending to your collaborators. This includes adding, removing, and reordering sections.
While AI-driven insights like the Brand Fit Score are included by default in your template, you have the flexibility to feature specific creator data—such as demographics, performance, and content. This can be tailored to your chosen platform, timeframe, and so much more!
Customizing your Creator Review template can be accomplished within the request flow using the steps shown below:
Alternatively, you can adjust your templates by going to the Campaign Settings, using the steps outlined below:
- Select the Campaign you wish to edit
- Select Settings in the top right corner
- In the left panel, select Collaborators and then select the Templates tab
- Click Creator Review > Edit and adjust any components or filters as you’d like!
-
Click Save as Workspace Template
Where else do reviews appear in Influencer Marketing?
You can monitor the status of your internal and collaborator reviews in several places like:
- Campaign Dashboard - There are feature sections dedicated to review status
- Creator tab - You’ll see two columns, one for internal review and the other for collaborator review
