Influencer Marketing: How do I boost Instagram posts with Partnership Ads?

Table of Contents

You can boost your Instagram posts directly inside of the Influencer Marketing Partnership Ad workflow.

Before boosting, you must have Partnership Ads permissions requested and approved by the creator. Check out this article to learn more.

Requirements to boost ads

There are a couple of requirements  you need to meet before creating Partnership Ads:

  • You need to connect your Instagram Account.

  • You need to connect your Meta Ads Account.

  • The two accounts you have connected have to be paired together. Follow these steps:

    • Ensure the Instagram Account you are using is a Professional Account (either a Business Account or a Creator Account).

    • Go to your Facebook Business Manager settings.

    • Navigate to Accounts > Instagram accounts and link your Instagram account.

  • A valid payment method has to be added to your Facebook Ad Account.

  • At least one Audience has to be created in your Ads Manager.

You can test your setup by going to Instagram, selecting a post, and clicking on “Boost Post”. If you see a boosting modal, everything should be working fine.

Special Ad Categories

If your Brand falls into one of the Special Ad Categories (Housing, Financial Products and Services, Employment, or Social issues, elections or politics), you will need to specify that when creating the Partnership Ad. Additionally, you will have to specify the Country for which the Ad will be displayed, as presented in the screenshot below.

What’s more, according to Meta’s guidelines, Brands that fall into one of the Special Ad Categories are unable to use Advantage+ Audiences. Please navigate to your Meta Ads Manager and create a non-advantage+ Audience to create a Partnership Ad.

FAQs

Why does the Creator's post look the same on their feed after I created a Partnership Ad?

Creator's posts don't change their appearance on the Creator's feed. They  only look different when seen by someone as a Partnership Ad, when using Instagram.

Why can't I see my post in the Campaign Summary yet?

After creating a Partnership Ad, Meta needs some time to review it to make sure that it meets their requirements. Because of that, it might take some time before this post appears in your Campaign Summary.
