Influencer Marketing: What permissions are requested from Facebook and Instagram for creator accounts?

Table of Contents

When you connect your Facebook and/or Instagram account, Influencer Marketing has to be granted permissions to access insights data and create your account.

Don't worry! Influencer Marketing doesn't modify your social accounts in any way. When you grant permission, it only provides the ability to read data about your social accounts.

When you create your Influencer Marketing account, Influencer Marketing will ask for the following permissions:

  • Receive your email address - this permission is used to read your email address.
  • Access profile and posts from the Instagram account connected to your page - this permission is used to receive basic data like username and profile picture.
  • Read content posted on the Page - this is an optional permission. This permission is used to determine potential errors during the Sign Up process to help you troubleshoot.
  • Manage accounts, settings, and webhooks for a Page - this permission enables Influencer Marketing to subscribe to and receive webhooks to retrieve exact data about stories.
  • Access insights for the Instagram account connected to your Page - this permissions accesses your Instagram account's metadata, data insights, and Story insights.
  • Show a list of all Pages you manage - this permission reads your Instagram Business Accounts data and accesses the list of Facebook Pages you manage.
