Influencer Marketing Custom Reports Guide

Table of Contents

Influencer Marketing Reports are designed to help you analyze trends among creators and brands. These reports allow you to uncover social trends such as:

  • Whether your brand is being talked about more on a specific platform
  • The volume of influencer content being posted for your competitors

Reports tap into social media insights, industry trends, top-performing content, volume by platform, and multiple data sources. This helps you analyze industry trends, social content, and profile data to create a data-powered influencer marketing strategy that resonates with your target market.

*Please note that Custom Reports are available in legacy plans and the new advanced plan.

Understanding Reporting Structure

You have access to unlimited reports.  Many common use cases and reporting results can be achieved using our built-in Report Templates, but if you need to build a custom report (for example, to analyze a competitor's social media posts), follow the steps below.

1. Name Your Report

This helps keep reports organized, especially if your team is frequently generating new versions.

2. Date Range

You can update the time frame based on when content was posted.

  • If you leave the date range open, the report will automatically show the last 90 days of data.
  • This is helpful for MoM, YoY, and YTD reporting.

3. Search Structure

This section defines exactly what you want to analyze. You can use one or a mix of the following options:

Keywords

  • Search by words, phrases, or hashtags present in captions.
  • The report will pull all content that includes those terms in the caption.

Profiles

  • Search by what specific profiles have posted.
  • You input creator or brand handles, and the report focuses on content generated by those accounts.

Mentions

  • Search for creators who have mentioned a specific brand or another creator.

Profiles vs. Mentions (Important Distinction)

ParameterWhat it tracksBest used for
ProfilesShows what a creator or brand has posted on their own social channels (posts/analytics from that profile)Auditing your own posting strategy or competitor posting volume
MentionsShows creators who have posted about a brand or profile (mentions of that profile)Measuring influencer campaign reach and organic brand buzz

Example:
For a competitor report, you may want to see:

  • What your competitors are posting, or
  • What creators are posting for your competitors

If you want to see what your competitors are posting in their social channels, add their handles in the Profiles section.

If you want to see what creators are posting for your competitors, add your competitors' handles in the Mentions section.

4. Location

Filters creators based on the location we have stored for them in the system.

  • This is not the location where the content was created.
  • We do not have API access to real-time posting location data.

Example:
If you input New York City, you may still see photos taken in Florida if the creator was traveling. The creator’s stored location remains in New York City.

5. Add More Parameters

Enhance your report using available filters such as:

  • Platform
  • Content type
  • Follower count
  • Gender
  • Audience demographics

💡 Tip: Hover over any filter to see a definition explaining what it measures.
