Creator Hub: Understanding Your Content Performance and Audience Insights

Table of Contents

In Sprout Social Influencer Marketing’s Creator Hub, the My Profile tab acts as your live, automated digital media kit.

By authenticating your social networks, Creator Hub automatically aggregates historical post data, computes rolling engagement benchmarks, tracks audience demographics, and archives private first-party metrics (like Instagram Stories). This guide walks you through navigating your performance analytics, understanding audience breakdown data, and leveraging these insights when collaborating with brands.

Are you a Brand or Agency Admin?
If you are looking to evaluate a creator's metrics during campaign discovery or casting, see How should I use the Analytics section of a Creator Profile?.

1. Navigating to Your Analytics

  1. Log in to Creator Hub at app.tagger.media.

  2. If you manage multiple creator personas, confirm you are in the correct profile using the Manage Profiles dropdown in the navigation menu.

  3. Click the My Profile tab from the left-hand navigation bar.

  4. Use the sub-navigation tabs to explore specific areas of your performance: Overview, Analytics, Content, Mentions, and Stories.

2. The 90-Day Performance Overview

The Overview dashboard gives you a snapshot of your content activity and growth across all connected social channels over a rolling 90-day window:

  • Connected Platforms Summary: A unified view showing total followers, net follower growth, total posts published, and total interactions across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, and X.

  • Median Engagement Rate: Your median engagement percentage across recent posts.

Why Median over Average? Brands look closely at median engagement because it filters out viral anomalies or sponsored post dips, giving an accurate picture of typical baseline post performance.

  • Growth Trends: Visual charts mapping follower velocity and engagement trajectories over time.

3. Content Health & Format Breakdown

Inside the Analytics sub-tab, you can analyze which post formats and networks drive the highest resonance with your community:

  • Performance by Platform: Compare engagement volume, view counts, and comment rates across different channels.

  • Performance by Content Type: Analyze how different media formats compare (e.g., Instagram Reels vs. Static Carousels or YouTube Long-form vs. Shorts).

  • Engagement Over Time: An interactive timeline showing interaction spikes corresponding to specific campaigns, seasonal events, or viral content.

4. Audience Demographics

Brands use audience data to ensure campaign alignment with their target customer profile. The Audience section provides detailed breakdowns based on first-party authenticated insights:

  • Geographic Distribution: Top countries, regions, and metropolitan cities where your followers are located.

  • Age & Gender Breakdown: Proportional distribution across standard demographic age brackets (e.g., 18–24, 25–34, 35–44) and gender splits.

  • Audience Concentration: Percentage of your followers located in your primary target market.

5. Instagram Stories Analytics

Because Instagram Stories expire after 24 hours on native platforms, capturing story data for brand reporting can be difficult. Authenticating your Instagram account via Creator Hub automatically records private first-party story data:

  • Captured Metrics: Real-time and historical tracking for Impressions, Reach, Replies, Taps Forward, Taps Back, and Exits.

  • Story Archive: A visual archive of published stories with metric overlays that remain accessible even after the 24-hour native window expires.

  • Campaign Deliverable Linking: Allows brands to verify Story deliverables and capture accurate impression counts without requiring you to manually screenshot your analytics.

6. Mentions & Brand Affinity

The Mentions tab helps you track commercial relationships, community interactions, and organic brand advocacy:

  • Mentions by You (Outbound): A catalogue of brands, creators, and partners tagged in your captions or content. This helps demonstrate category experience and brand loyalty.

  • Mentions of You (Inbound): Posts and content where other creators or brand handles have tagged your profile.

Pro-Tip: Using Creator Hub as a Digital Media Kit

When pitching brands or negotiating rates for upcoming campaigns:

  1. Keep Connections Active: Ensure your social platform tokens under Settings → Connections remain connected so your rolling 90-day stats are always up to date.

  2. Review Format Strengths: Use your Content Type breakdowns to recommend high-performing formats (e.g., proposing Reels over Static posts if your Reels engagement is 2x higher).

  3. Reference Demographics in Proposals: When submitting proposal notes in Creator Hub, highlight demographic matches (e.g., "62% of my audience is US-based and female 25–34, aligning with your core product demographic").

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why are my YouTube or TikTok metrics missing from certain sections?

Different social platforms expose different data points through their official APIs. For example, private Story metrics apply specifically to Instagram, while video retention and average view duration apply primarily to YouTube and TikTok.

How often do profile metrics refresh?

Data for public posts refreshes daily. Private first-party data (such as Instagram Stories) syncs in near real-time as long as your social account connection remains authenticated.

Can brands see my private personal messages or unrelated account details?

No. Authenticating your accounts only shares anonymized aggregate audience demographics, public post engagement metrics, and campaign-specific Story performance. Brands never have access to your personal direct messages or native login passwords.
